I created SueBird to share the nature, animals, gardens, aquariums, and everyday moments that make life interesting to me. What started with a love of watching the world around me has grown into a place where I can document what I’m learning and share it with others.

🦋 Butterflies & My Florida Garden

My Florida backyard has become a place to watch nature up close. I grow plants that provide food and habitat for butterflies and other pollinators, and I love following the journey from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly.

Here you’ll find the butterflies that visit my garden, the native plants that support them, and the things I’m learning along the way.

🐠 Aquariums & Underwater Life

I also love creating and caring for aquariums. I’ll share the fish, plants, aquascapes, and lessons that come with keeping an underwater world healthy and beautiful.

Some days things go exactly as planned. Other days, I learn something new the hard way. That’s part of the fun.

And then there’s Mimi Belle, our beloved Standard Poodle and a very important part of my life.

My Little Lassie is where I’ll share Mimi’s personality, adventures, funny moments, and the everyday memories that make her so special.
